Alas, after the very recent bottle 1999 Copa Santa, which was very fine, this vintage/bottle is very average/ordinary, thin, probably a little past it, disappointing. 🤷🤷

[Syrah with a little Mourvèdre and Grenache] Still quite dark purple color, oak and quite ripe primary fruit, this tastes too much like new world super ripe Syrah, it just doesn’t taste like a Languedoc to me, which is why I prefer the 1999.

Fig, chocolate, dried cherry, leather and earth - high on everything, full body, great wine

1994 La Copa Santa (ridiculously hard to read label), 100% Syrah from the Languedoc, garrigue, some barnyard, before these cuvées started to become too overtly oaked.
