Dark purple. Vibrant, highly perfumed red and blue fruit, floral and incense aromas pick up exotic spice and cracked pepper flourishes with aeration. Plush and expansive in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet boysenberry, cherry and violet pastille flavors that show no rough edges. Wow. I'm in love with this wine. Super young, in need of many years, but it shows that Gigondas ain't nothin to mess around with.
