Domaine Bru-Baché
Jurançon Sec Gros Manseng
So elegant. Oxidized to perfection. So pretty. Not over the line.

1 person found it helpfulJul 9th, 2015Interesting array of aromas; quince, bruised pear, apricot, nuts, honey, dried ginger, honeysuckle, wet stones, tea leaves, watercress and phenols. Nice acidity and weight to the wine and some tannin in there as well. An advanced wine to drink on its own but really sang with vegetable curry. The bitterness dropped out and brighter fruits/ginger spice notes come into play.

Nov 29th, 2015What a surprise w/ food! Alone, the implies a sweet wine. Full bodied, honey & pit fruit even though it's dry. Didn't care for it. At the dinner table, the impression of sweetness disappears, lovely dinner wine. Full body & texture crave umami rich foods.
