A nice surprise! Pineau d'aunis comes through strong here. Melon, grapefruit pith, chalk. More interesting than you'd expect for inexpensive bubbles.

100% Pineau d'Aunis, and definitely Brut. It has an interesting tang to it, and a distinctly red fruit profile reminiscent of Sangiovese's sour pie cherry. Nice!
