Fifth bottle out of 6. All previous notes (by yours truly) all stil very much apply. A very well moulin à vent cru with a tiny oak aging to it. Delicious, bright cherry from the nose to the end. A burgundy wine in its own right

Cherry forward on the nose and hay and an earthy thing. It's almost burgundian. The palate is very well done with a strong acid backbone, superb cherry notes all along, a very soft mouthfeel, almost velvetty. A good width and some matter, no real tannins to speak of and a very nice and long tannins that leaves a fresher, almost tangy note in the end. In a great place right now, this is everything I love in Beaujolais.

Third take on this one. Previous notes still apply but I taste a tiny saltiness in this one which is a bit peculiar. It's still very well made for an oak-aged Beaujolais

Second take on this one. A different take on a good old vines area in moulin à vent with an 18 month oak aging process which is rather found 100 km up north in burgundy.
That oak note is there on the nose but it's discreet and well integrated among cherry and violet notes. The palate is delicious with a big bright cherry fruit shining all along a good acid drive, a good width and some nice matter, making it a fully playful palate. There is some disturbance in the force in mid palate with some subtle tannins kicking in and distupting that nice round mouthfeel we had so far. The finish is made of that nice fruit and those little shivers that started in mid palate. This is a great take on moulin à vent, definitely worth trying

Infini, moulin à vent 2018, domaine Bertrand

I bought this one from the winery along with 3 other cuvées (including the chard I shared a note about last week).
This moulin à vent comes from a small parcel which is undergoing a transition to organic culture. This is the only cuvée they put in oak barrels for 18 months. Only second wine barrels from a côtes du Rhône winery.
This makes for a very burgundyesque Beaujolais. The nose is made of an intense cherry note along with rose petals and violet. There is tiny touch of vanilla too but the oak is really subtle. The palate is made of a massive acid backbone that powers a very long finish. There is a bright cherry note blossoming all along, a good width and a lively, dynamic mouthfeel. Some very discreet oaky notes complement a rather fruity profile before some gentle tannins kick off in the rear creating a layer of complexity above the fruit. The finish is long and fruity with a tiny touch of oak that somehow brings another dimension with a tiny touch of bitterness. This is very good but very young too and I think my other 5 bottles will be left aside in the cellar for another 3 to 5 years. Great beaujo experience
