What is it about red Burgundies? That question is like a koan in the world of wine. And yet, nose to the glass, first thing, we know we're in for a treat here. A lot of dried cherry, a lot of wet hay, leather, mushroom, forest floor, a little mineral note and tannins that change from soft to grippy over a few seconds. Pretty astounding to find a Bourgogne like this for this price. No flourishes but it's the real thing. Lots of structure and typical cdn restrained dark berry. I guess it's true what they've been saying about hcdn and a warming climate. This wine is an unalloyed pleasure.

Bourgogne has the best wine. This is light red wine n you can see ur fingers through the glass. This is Pinot noir.
