A solid warm-up wine tonight. More earth and mineral than fruit. Acid right where it ought to be.

Feb 11th, 2015Chalky, lanolin nose led me to Chenin in a blind taste. Fleshier mouth feel then most SB led me to call it a Chenin, however it had fruit flavors of SB, lots of mouthwatering citrus. Great wine for under $20

Earthy, lean, with just a touch of spice.

Just opened this. French pinot. Yeasty smell right out of the bottle. Lighter color. More crisp than other pilots I've had. Fruit is there but lighter. Sharper 'bluer' flavors. I guess minerally? I dig it. :)
