I remember thinking that Cabernet Sauv was not the right grape for Tasmania as it would not ripen but then along came Domaine A who started making Cab blends with an uncanny likeness to left bank Bordeaux. Unfortunately this 2004 is a return to the old unripe green notes with a strong nose of asparagus. Medium weight palate lacking in berry fruit. Palate showing better than the nose. I have had much better examples of Domaine A Cab Sauv.

Sep 1st, 2016Wonderful cold climate Cabernet Sauvignon from just outside of Hobart. Herbaceous almost grassy with a hint of mint. Intense black fruit on the mid-palate with a wonderful grippy kick. Had four of these now over 4 years and yet to be disappointed. The bottle variation is almost nonexistent.
