Jan 21st, 2016The color of tokaji. Sadly a little past it’s vibrant zesty best, but still classy on the palate. Almost no fizz. A soft and rounded palate, sherry with nuts. A rather beautiful, poised old wine. Tawny with hints of coconut and delicate sweetness with a touch of Madeira. Not like a typical champagne but unique and haunting. Gaining complexity in the glass. Very still and soft with roses. Fascinating.
