I Balzini Black Label Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT

This is a simple Merlot /Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Tuscany.

Dry on the palate and unbalanced.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Showing red fruits with earth, light wood, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Short finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.

Would be better with pizza.

A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Just arrived. Looking for the right meal to pair with it. Or I could just drink it...

Very interesting cab merlot 50/50 blend. Decanted an hour and it aced pairing with puttanesca lasagna.

Raspberry on the nose. Nice tannins on the front end evolve with a fruity dry finish. Not your Napa Cab, very interesting.

Good dinner wine

Meh. Fairly diluted flavor. Cherry and cranberry. Better day 2, but still not great.

Great light wine missing something

Very nice! Smooth with lots of character.
