Collection Öküzgözü Cabernet Sauvignon

Purple red color. Slightly pruny in nose. Raisiny in mouth. Slight tannin bitterness in finish.

Blue purple hue, sweet on the nose with a menthal finish. Not my favorite.

Very volatile, sweet raisins on the nose. Different.

Turkey wins again! World-class, unpronounceable deliciousness from Anatolia.

Possible wedding wine? Brambly juicy medium bodied red with flavors of resin, pine and anise- pair with Raki? :)

Cool wine. Rich, tart fruit. Menthol. Bright acid. Fairly tannic. Super long. Great value.

Good Value; unique

Unique and, frankly, a bit challenging. The stewed fruit characteristics of the bouquet with overt notes of pie filling and raisins are slightly disjointed from the light bodied, dry, almost Sangiovese-like mouthfeel. Lots of cherry, plum skin and forest floor flavors with a decidedly short finish. I don't dislike it; in fact it is probably a very food friendly wine for gatherings. Worth a try but not a staple for me.
