Le Coste di monforte Barolo Nebbiolo
The 2020 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is redolent of iron, game, incense, scorched earth, blood orange, dark fruit and tobacco. A potent, strapping Barolo, the 2020 is certainly not for the timid. It offers tons of Monforte power, brawn and muscle. A few years in the cellar is an absolute must. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2024)

The 2019 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is a gorgeous, exotic, intriguing wine. Dried flowers, mint, lavender, spice, tobacco and incense are all beautifully delineated. Ample and vibrant, with tons of depth, the 2019 is absolutely compelling today. The 2019 offers tons of Le Coste power, and a good deal of finesse as well. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2023)

The 2018 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is a gentle, surprisingly open-knit wine from a site where Barolos tend to show quite a bit more muscle. Then again, this is 2018. Effusive floral and spice aromatics meld into a core of sweet red-fleshed fruit. Orange peel, cinnamon and rose petal lift the bright, vibrant finish very nicely. The 2018 is impeccably done. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)

Light and fresh! A great example of early-drinking Nebbiolo.
