See several previous Delectable notes. A dense Ruby in colour. Rich fruit - a typical Tassie Pinot - luscious and fresh - medium to full bodied. Dark Cherry on nose and palate. Fruit swallowing the oak. I could say a Shiraz drinkers Pinot, but it’s more detailed than that. My last one. Bought 3 bottles at the Pinot Shop Launceston in February 2019.

Deep Ruby red similar to a Shiraz in colour. Rich, ripe, aromatics - decadent Strawberry, Raspberry and red cherry notes on nose and palate. A full bodied Pinot for sure - glycerin and slippery. The richness of the fruit dominates the whole bunch stalky influence. The following night still rich and delicious. Soft tannins. The Calcaire name coming from the calcareous soils from a bed of fossilised sea shells laid down 250 million years ago, providing a lime rich sub layer. Had a 2nd bottle 15 months later on 18th May 2023. Just as enjoyable as the first tasting. A rich flavoured Pinot - dense Ruby in colour. Medium bodied but full of flavour. 94 points.

This is actually the Derwent Estate Calcaire Pinot Noir - not offered by Delectable. Very stalky and stemmy with pepper notes. Turns out it is 85% whole bunch and 100% new French Oak which does not dominate the magnificent fruit. Most impressed. Will put in an order.

Picked this up back in ‘19 when visited there awesome tasting room. Wine is just phenomenal, delicate red fruits, spice, with slight cedary undertones. Takes me back!
