Dark pungent wine. Taste better than smell. 15%. Sat for over an hour and didn’t open up. Drinkable but not what I expected for a a chateauneuf du pape

Blackberries up front developing into licorice, vanilla. The glass shows legs (15% alcohol), but the wine isn't bitter or acidic. Smooth and comfortable.
