Opened in May 2020 and partially decanted this 2013 vintage bought at the vineyard. Absolutely outstanding an hour later. The aroma is smooth and highlighted by soft dark cherry, a bit earthy and maybe chocolate or coffee but in the distance. The first sip was heavenly and smooth to the palate. Could have waited anther 5yrs! Enhanced the taste of medium rare ribeye and grilled artichoke. Just outstanding!!!!

Pulled from the wine cellar. Hoping I didn’t wait too long to open it. Letting it breathe. Will report back. Bought and shipped from Del Dotto caves a few years back.

Jul 6th, 2018Bought in Napa and shipped 2yrs ago. Opened APRIL 8, 2018. Could wait 10yrs!!! Very mild, great aroma with mild chocolate, slight berry that needs to mature. Smooth as it can be. I will wait for the next bottle. My suggestion is buy now and wait 5-10 yrs. Did this with a few French reds and was not sorry. Be patient!!! Had with strip steak and mushrooms in wine reduction. I will nurse the remainder!

Apr 9th, 2018Very dry with medium tannin, hint of coffee and dark chocolate with dark cherry. Air for 30-40min. Wonderful with medium rare rare prime rib for Xmas dinner 2016. Limited production.
