Like a baby giraffe on a frozen pond, this wine's got no legs.

4 people found it helpfulMar 5th, 2016Ive been exploring red blends. I wanted to try this one in the first place, when a trader joes employee suggested the Cocobon. So what did I do? I tried the Cocobon....I HATED IT! I was so mad! Why didn't I go with my gut and get what I wanted? Why would this guy recommend a nasty wine? Ughhhh! I had to redeem myself! After finishing the icky cheap Cocobon, I went back for this baby. This is much more enjoyable than that dark, chocolatey nonsense. This is very light, more of a table red wine, a tad sweet, but again, very VERY drinkable. Has no finish? Weird. I poured myself one big helping, but I don't think the bottle will last very long. Winner for me, but will try other red blends.

Taste is a good mix of sweetness, acidity, dark fruits, and zest. Pretty tasty. Aftertaste is medium long with flavors and clean. Above the average.

Oct 5th, 2023No legs. Very acidic and strong at the beginning. Hits you hard and finishes fast. Not my favorite, but I love the bottle.
Strangely better on day 2, after it was open 24 hours.
