Such a smooth red. Good legs on this. Would certainly buy again from my wine shop.

Great pizza wine. Easy drinking, on the herbier side. Not pricey.

Dark! Medium bodied, dry, plenty of acid, not so tannic, doesn’t linger, not a lot of body. Lots of oak, cherry, tomato, jammy. Seems like a French wine? Not as good as De Forville Dolcetto or Nebbiolo.

UPDATE: Had another bottle a few weeks later, raised rating from 8.8 to 8.9, seemed more savory, leathery, and with more body than original rating.

UPDATE 2: had again May 2018. Raised rating to 9.1. Keeps getting better. Nice leathery body olives, prune. Good acid, not so tannic.

Tart, underripe berries with a touch of funk. Pretty much exactly what I want bargain Barbera to be. And from Barberesco, no less! Excellent value.
