This is Upper Yarra Valley (old source for Arras) pinot noir; 2006 made by DeBortoli; as they say, ultra sauvage (no sugar dose); hand riddled, hand disgorged, 12.5%, AUD 35; had 2 years + on Diam cork; full malo shows on nose-toffee, brioche, honey, smoke and lots of yeast, shows full pinot palate as it warms; more lemon chardonnay zip when poured very cold; big wine with impact; does not need sweetening either
