Medium Ruby color and heady fruit forward aromas brand this as a warmer Napa rather than cooler Sonoma Coast pinot (plus abv around 14.5%). Lots of bright red fruit - strawberry, cherry, raspberry, chocolate, forest floor with violet, dried orange peel and a hint of baking spice from the aging in 60% new French oak. A bit overwrought but a fine wine of its forward style. Better in a year or two.

Their Pinot paired with Maple Brined Seared Pork Tenderloin, Garden Vegetables and Hunter's Sauce.

Lot’s plum, big dark cherries, cranberries, blackberries and hues of blue fruits, light smoke, black licorice and soft woven baking spices. Blue & dark fresh red florals.

The body is medium with raining acidity. More blue fruits hues on the palate. plum, big dark cherries, cranberries, bolder blackberries on the palate and hues of blue fruits, light smoke, black licorice and soft woven baking spices. Limestone & volcanic minerals, touch of rich dark soils, Blue & dark fresh red florals. Certainly not my favorite wine of theirs bit, it is enjoyable.

Photos of; lounge area in their barn where the hold private events, Maple Brined Seared Pork Tenderloin, Garden Vegetables and Hunter's Sauce, logo windmill and matching barn that house their administration offices and another from their back patio terrace.

On the nose, it’s soft and delicate. Mid & dark red fruits of; strawberries, cranberries, blackberries, black cherries, pomegranate, limestone minerals, touch of rich dark earth with violets & fresh red florals. The body is leaner in style and elegant. Fruits of; strawberries, cherries, dark cherries & blackberries. Limestone, soft volcanic minerals, fresh red roses, red florals with violets for days, nice acidity, great balance and elegance, structure, tension and length that are well knitted together. The long finish is beautiful and delicious. Paired well with the Butternut Squash Gnocchi Cambozola Cream and Toasted Walnuts. Prepared by the Davis Estate Chef and featured in the middle left photo. It’s was delicious! Other photos; the Davis commercial kitchen, water fountain and Davis Estate House.

Wonderful Pinot. More complexity than an average Pinot. Enjoyed more than most pinots. Paired with roasted mushrooms with a basil aioli.

The nose is alluring with candied strawberry, bing cherry, raspberry, baking spice, dried mushroom and kiss of smoke. Medium body. The palate is fresh, vibrant and nicely textured. Round acidity and polished integrated tannins.

One of the better Napa Pinot I’ve tasted - the estate vineyard in Carneros is entirely in the Napa side. Still have a good 4-5 years ahead.

Bigger fruit than I typically like but beautiful baking spice and earth balancing it out. I really enjoyed this.

Definitely get vanilla oak notes on the nose. It’s such a dark Pinot I wouldn’t recognize this in a blind tasting.... I guess I need more Pinot experience. This one is an experience for sure! Nice bell pepper on the finish. Delish! I’m drinking this with salmon and broccoli.
