Someone told me they like Malbec, I sold them this. They now like midi wines. Mission accomplished.

Always delicious. 2011 showing more forward fruit and earth than 2012.

So weird its's hard to squeeze whats going on with this wine into such few words. Musky nose with powerful fruit and game notes. This is a wine nerd wine.

A bit of a heavier wine that needs food/cheese to go with it. Olives, smoky flavors with a bit of a broody style.

My first time tasting this wine, and I tried the 1990, 1989, then 2005. Floored by the 1989 and 90! So much dark berry fruit but without any heaviness, and the savoriness that's developed is so nice--in line with developed Bordeaux, plus lots of ashy notes. Reminded me of old st emilion. The 2005, of course, needed time by comparison.

Dark fruits, earthy notes and a rich vein of brightness, ideal alongside simply prepared lamb.
