Daryl Rex Groom
Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc
This is a tart SB, with a mineral tannic structure and pleasantly sour citric notes to the finish. It paired well with Louisiana style hopping John and honeydew melon. Happy new year! 🎉🍾

Jan 2nd, 2017Interesting wine. Not bad just not my favorite. Smells amazing. Was too simple/lacking in flavor when I first sipped. Thought with the nose it had, my tongue was going to sing. Then tart blast straight to the back of my teeth. Nice, sweet and crisp don’t get me wrong. But I really think this one needs to breathe for a bit. Was better the next day. Maybe it’s too complex for my palette. It does leave a nice after. I would recommend it to try but with a warning. Not a wine for everyone. One to pair with items. Try it and let me know what you think.

Mar 6th, 2017Very dry for a Sauv Blanc verging on bitter. Not at all the fruitiness that you expect. Very crisp. It might work well in the summer as a wine spritzer but not what you would want if you are cozying up to a fire in the winter time.
