Fruity nose with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, coffee, sweet raspberries, chocolates and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and fruity, with blackberries, raspberries, wood, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, smoke, chocolates, tobacco and light green vegetables.
Nice finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This inexpensive California Cabernet is well balanced with mild complexity. Good by itself or with food. A good sipping wine and nice for parties, too.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour in a decanter.
Enjoyable when lightly chilled.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark Ruby with heavy spice nose masking fruit. On the palate some blackberry fruit peaks through the strong pepper spice flavors. Tannins are rustic and strong, doubtful they will soften this wine. Finish was off balance. Pass. Tasting Sample.
