Another solid blend of the “Unbound” series. Grippy tannins and much constraint. After tasting three different vintages, I have to conclude that Petit Syrah/Tannat blends just don’t quite get there - ever. Too austere compared to Cab and Syrah blends.

Aug 2nd, 2021Superb blend with 81% Petit Syrah, 14% Tannat, and 5% Tempranillo. Very dark, good structure, and unlike the ‘15 vintage, not overly austere. In fact, there are many layers of cassis and black fruit. Delicious!
