Fabulous natty côtes catalanes grenache gris. Some initial reduction & funk that blew off. Light marron glacé aromatics, the real star is the density of the mid-palate; sappy & expressive in the best possible way. Viscosity buttressed with acid. Long finish. Fabulous pairing with charred eggplant pasta.

From Cote Catalanes. 100% Carignan Blanc. Very unusual stuff! Clear, light gold. Nose is herbal. Palate mostly mineral with a suggestion of pineapple. Long, long finish suggesting burnt almond which Judy did not enjoy as much as I did.
Difficult to describe this wine but is highly pleasurable and worth searching out. Excellent with food.
