Medium ruby with garnet rim . A bit funky , on the nose with some leather and animal character , dark meaty fruits , dried herbs . On the palate quite high acidity and rustic slightly chalky tannins , more of the dark blackberry , dark cherry and herbal tinges . This is drinking fine now and over the next 3-4 years . Quite rustic overall , but passable if a bit bretty, needs some food
