Some funk blew off and opened up to dark red fruit, cedar and vanilla.

2007. I like this vintage. It's appropriately gentle and more old school than some of the aggressively oak driven vintages of recent.

Really smooth yet powerful. Just a great wine to sip or pair with just about anything

Dark cherry, blackberry, black raspberry, leather, herbal, tea leaves, vanilla, coconut, cinnamon, cardamom, bitter chocolate, anise, fresh dill.

Red fruits, spice, cedar and hint of Levi Garrett jump out of the glass. Awesome Rioja.

This might be the best Tempranillo I have ever tasted. Soft and gentle with no overbearing oak for a Gran Reserva. Soft tannins and beautiful fruit notes. So good we had two bottles.

Coconut taffy, savory red fruit, just right acidity, enticing and gentle tannin. Great wine from a not so good vintage.

Why oh why do we open such things so young...
