Wow. Earthy barnyard nose leads to spicy and minty flavors. Don’t think I’ve had a Giro before. Really good. Worth seeking out.

I am always interested to try new grapes and new regions, but this Giró from Southeast Spain (between Alicante and Valencia) is too acidic to be enjoyable. I believe the acidity is inherent to the Giró variety and that this wine will not improve with age. There are some rustic but flavorful notes to start but the burning acid follows. Unique.
