Dark cherry color with wide edges. The nose screams Tempranillo with lively strawberries, fresh tobacco, and roasted coffee beans. I adore Tempranillo as a varietal wine, not just in blends, and this is why. Full bodied with ripe tannins, this is a rather engaging wine with some added depth. On the palate, there’s the trademark leather, fresh mint, and dried tobacco going on. There’s also plenty of red fruits without becoming a simple fruit bomb. One of my favorite wines I’ve ever had at this price point.
