Fresh flowers and bright fruit...for anyone who loves Beaujolais, Gringolino, or other similar wines.

Bright and tangy. Tart with high acid. Soda. Better than the import nouveau of recent years.

@delectable this is the valdigue noveau! Pinkish purple color, light and crisp.... acid driven and bright red fruit. Uncomplicated and quaffable. 11.5 abv

Tart with a slight fizz. Would be great on a hot day.

Tart and lively with notes of pomegranate, strawberry candy, and earth. Easy-drinking and refreshing. Uncomplicated, but has good structure for a wine with such youth. Served slightly chilled. Purchased at Popina in Brooklyn, NY.

Things of nature don’t usually exist in glowing magenta.

Cruse’s 2020 Valdigue Noveau is an ode to the Nouveaus of Beaujolais.

Like the others, his starts bubbly, fruity, carbonic. Gets interesting with a detour to raw, stemmy, rosemary woods. Finishes tart - cranberries and cedar dust.

Most of the good stuff is on the surface. Shows well initially and loses legs once you dig a little. It becomes a little insipid, tart, watery, and stemmy after a glass or two.
