Evangel Vineyard Carignan

I enjoyed it because for me, this shows true #Carignane typicity. High acid, tangy crunchy, red Apple aromas and flavors. Rich ripe fruit. Subtle sweet spice. This #carignan it reminded me a lot of the #cariñena I make.

A tasty Carignan from California. Dry on the palate and tangy.

Had it blind and called a California Pinot Noir. Really tastes like one.

Michael Cruse’s wines deserve more recognition than they receive. His single vineyard bottlings are spectacular. His style is lean, fruity, and a dedicated employment of whole cluster press.

This Evangelho Carignan has a deep purple color in a medium, full body. There is bright blackberry, oak, and sandalwood. Intensely concentrated, on the serious structured side of the spectrum for the Cruse portfolio.

Michael Cruse wine does no wrong! This Carignan is bright lush raspberry that finishes with great structure.

Blueberry jam with some herbs - lavender, thyme. Very nice.

Amazing wine all around. More full bodied then I was expecting. Leather, plum, and pomegranate with an earthy quality.
