This is stunning. Tart cherries with a touch of nutmeg. Deeply oxidized but well balanced with its acidity and oaky tannins. Caramel coming through as the initial carbonation subsides. Closest comparison is Cuvée Freddy, and while that beer is great, this is better. Ready to drink right after pouring, and I suspect it will improve with some time and warming.

Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett Dark Sour aged in Leopoldo Bros Whiskey Barrels. July 2015, Batch 6. A mouth coating sour with so much going on. Long finish and the whiskey barrels add a nice underlying caramel note. Wish I had a 750 ml bottle. 375 ml is not enough.
