If I was Francois Durif I would taste my cloned children here then throw up my arms and yell 'These are not my children! Do not judge me by these wildlings!'
Bouquet of acetone, deeper breaths reveal some interesting almost pheromonal notes.
Immediate negative response on the palate, watery texture.

Very Jammy! Loads of prune, plum and dark berry/cassis fruit. Notes of bitter chocolate and coffee. Alcohol (burning) really comes through on the very sharp finish. Give this one a long decant. Better the second day.

I think this is what we call jammy, ladies and gents. Not peppery enough, but smooth and easy to drink.

Jul 24th, 2015Great price. Found that it took a while to open up, and when it finally did it was light and peppery. That window did not last long though - by day 2 it was uninteresting.
