Medium-bodied palate gives blackberry, black currant, and other black fruits wrapped in a noticeable but not overpowering wooden wrapper with burnt vanilla. Medium acidity, medium tannins, long dark tarry finish. This native Romanian variety really shows its stuff in this iteration. Just enough oak with an abundance of dark fruit makes for a wine with stellar QPR! At home on a picnic, with hard cheeses, or accompanying a midweek meal.
