Bright clear ruby purple in the glass. Abundant nose of red berries and plum; echoed on the medium, Merlot-Syrah-like palate. Low tannins (slightly more assertive after some air), medium acidity. An easy drinking, very fruit-forward red that should have mass appeal and compliment a wide variety of informal meals. Cookout fare, pot roast, stews, tacos, and root vegetables are all its food friends. And oy, that wallet-friendly price! Drink now.

Light maroon in the glass. Medium body wine. Aromas of berry and plum on the nose. Earthy on the palate and finish. A smooth red with good minimal tannins.

Aroma is a bit earthy and very distinctly grape. Hubby said it was like Welch's concord grape juice, I didn’t get that at all just thought it was very fruit. Slightly smokey/tobacco. Very full bodied. Weirdly tannic finish. No real acidity which makes the tannins standout. I liked the tannins, hubby said it was unbalanced. Honestly haven't tasted a wine like this before. Hubby said it tastes like communion wine. But at 7.99 a bottle, one can’t complain.

Very solid. Great Pinot alternative. Low tannin. I little too much oak on this for its own good, in my opinion.
