Slightly disappointing bottle (and vintage?) compared to earlier vintages I've had. A bit tired, although it benefited from spending some time in the glass.

2nd in the 3rd and surprisingly not my cup of tea so to speak. I wasn't feeling it with the cheese.

Sweet blackcurrant & blackberry fruit, fresh violets, purple grape juice, vanilla on the nose. Bit thinner on the palate than you'd hope but good purity of purple fruit really quite refreshing but lacking impact.

Underwhelming considering its pedigree, hot and too full but quite good savoury notes. Too simple in the end.
