Dolcetto D'Alba
Whoa. Our first dolcetto and what a ride. Semi-savory flavors left and right: dark, opaque purple; smelling like anise, black licorice, cedar; some chocolate and a black pepper finish on a classic dusty Italian palate, with tannins that have a lil grip in em. Probably not the perfect pairing for pepperoni pizza, but a fun thinker regardless. Good value for the complexity. Phew!

May 28th, 2023Note of tobacco and pepper. String tannin, good with steak, ragu. Like a Malbec. Not good drinking on its own.
