Too much caramel/sweetness for a starter. Might be good with dessert.

Aged very well. While still a great backbone, the wine had converted to dark, mineral, almost sweet notes of autumn leaves, oak and tobacco. Tannins were very present but very smooth giving it a lingering soothing finish.

Great wine for a weeknight. Not my favorite selection from Cougar Crest, but an enjoyable wine. Nice nose - dark berries and plum with medium tannins on the finish.

Wonderful vintage with tastes of blackberry, tea, vanilla and olive. Better than the 2008.

A decent wine, a little bit sweet.
Drinking with friends from Oregon who brought it with them.
