Clear dark ruby. Shy nose of black cherry compote. Medium palate of juicy black cherry, red apple peel, and brown tea. Medium acidity asserts after some air, as do the medium tannins. Finish is moderate in length. Entry level Central Otago PN at a reasonable price. Ready for a wide range of foods, as a good PN should be but best as an upscale to everyday fare. Drink now through 2024.

Had this one with a stuffed New Zealand leg of lamb. Some raspberry overtones along with soft tannins and a hint of cherry. Was nothing fantastic but was good and paired well with our New Zealand dinner this evening. Had the 2019 in March of 2023. Was a nice light-bodied dry Pinot noir. Would drink this one again.
