I have a huge crush on Pinot Gris at the moment, I'm just loving the wines coming out of this grape varietal. I enjoyed this Kiwi Pinot Gris with the girls recently, $15 from Liquorland.
Pale colour on the eye with peaches, pears and gooseberries enticing the nose. On the palate it tastes like you're drinking juice, fresh'n'fruity and way too easy to drink. It actually reminded me of canned pears. The people have good wine! The artwork on the bottle is done by NZ artist Martin Poppelwell who has an 'exquisitely messy' style. I've never seen a back label like it!

More Sav Blanc than Pinot Gris. Prefer the Italian varietal. Seems like just because its from NZ it can be a basket of fruit. Save it for the Marlborough region thanks. Having sad that, not bad!!
