Elevated acidity, medium body, medium finish. 10% new French oak, 90% neutral, full malo, stainless steel open top fermentation, Wente clone (usually tropical notes?) sandstone with some clay. Six different cooperage mostly: Gamba?? and Grand Murray??.

Jan 10th, 2015Very tasty. Gold, medium weight. Restraint. Bright Flinty Mineral. Zero butter. A tiny bit of toast on the finish. A little bound up upon opening. Gets really nice about an hour in. Vineyard is in Anderson Valley. Wells Guthrie is a very talented winemaker. Pretty sure this was his last vintage at Copain.
