Red from Alentejo region of southern Portugal that uses one grape variety which is only found in Portugal and which is the best for red wines in this country. Although this red has not been matured in casks there is a hint of it with a fantastic dry finish. Pairs with red meats, strong cheese and fatty fish like tuna, sardines, mackerel, etc.

Jul 1st, 20172012 Vintage. Mellow on the nose but rustic in flavour: think smoking a cigar and a shot of espresso. Full bodied. Excellent value: if this was a Bordeaux, it would cost 3x price.
