Red from Alentejo region of southern Portugal that uses one grape variety which is only found in Portugal and which is the best for red wines in this country. 2012 Vintage. Mellow on the nose but rustic in flavour: think smoking a cigar and a shot of espresso. Full bodied. Excellent value: if this was a Bordeaux, it would cost 3x price.
