Perhaps not as strong as the 2000 which I had recently. An easy glide into its 20th year, just developing tertiary elements. Love the staying power of Nebbiolo.

In a perfect place right now. All the dried roses and fresh potpourri.

Tight upon opening but after an hour this starting to sing of dried cherries and undergrowth. Not the longest finish in the world, but very good with a slab of seared tuna.

Most of the fruit is gone, this is all about the secondary and tertiary: stewed pruney things on the nose give way to earth, leather, something that reminds me (in a good way) of a brown gravy on the palate.
