Conte Vistarino
Costiolo Sangue di Giuda Frizzante Dolce
I don’t know why the rating for this sits so low. It’s definitely semi-sweet, definitely inexpensive, but not at all bad. A very delicate floral nose, with notes of rose petal, with the effervescence of the bubbles only tickling your nose ever so slightly. The palate is definitely on the sweeter side, but then again it’s meant to be a desert wine, or at least a wine that would benefit from the addition of some ice. The flavor reminds me of wild blueberry jam, with a nice gentle fiz and a mouth coating sweetness but on a medium body, with prominent florals and a slight cranberry finish. It’s enjoyable for sure, and a pleasant digestif/dessert.
