Sangiovese with a marginal addition of other non-disclosed varietals. The nose shows ripe cherry, oak, tar, a bit of heat. The palate is acid driven, with a bit of width and matter, a nice and soft mouthfeel with some juicy cherry notes all along. There is a nice, building, wall of tannins that comes up in the rear, powering a rather broad and drying finish that goes on for a while, with nice cherry and oaky notes all along. It's a very traditional expression,but it's well done and a bit on the oaky side of Sangiovese.
