Conti Di Zanone Barolo DOCG 2013: Medium-body. Elegant structure. Great balance & finesse with full, fruit flavors of black cherry, cranberry & plum as well as spice, earth & oak. The tannin were well-integrated and the finish long & dry. All in all, this is a classic Barolo wine with all of the usual flavors (& color) you’d expect. Happy Monday to all and have a fantastic week! Cheers🍷

Garnet in color with slight rim variation. Dark plum/cherry and earth on nose, some rubber as well. Earth, oak and ashiness on palette with medium+ acidity and medium+ alcohol. Very dry finish - definitely a wine enjoyed best with food, not on its own.
Update:
***However, several days later it had opened up significantly and was much easier to drink on its on
