Too sweet and had a bizarre aftertaste. There are better budget merlot's out there.

The acidity is a bit clingy - think “high school couple after 4 Smirnoff Ice” clingy. It sticks around. But, what can you expect from a $5 merlot? Would not recommend as a first bottle, not complaining as a 2nd or 3rd though.

Safe wine, no ugly surprises on the palate, perfect for cooking, decent for dribling a whatever evening.

Delicious! Very smooth, great aftertaste. We paired this with steak, but it is also good independently.

Deliciously sweet with notes of berry and a perfect amount of acid

Bought this to cook with on tails. I usually like a bit of green note in a wine, but this has too much of it. Palate was quite silly and vibrant though. Then again, one should not complain a $5 wine.
