Not all Bourgogne are created equal, red or white, this we can all agree. This is one of the best Bourgogne blanc I have had in some time and is from Pommard legend Comte Armand, a house known for their powerful but ethereal reds from Pinot Noir.

A light to medium gold color. Impressive nose and flavors of juicy green and golden delicious apple, slate/stone like minerality, white florals like an elegant honeysuckle, a light toasted hazelnut note, with a touch of baking spice and vanilla you'd expect on this young white Burgundy (all used barrels here btw!). Very good and refreshing acidity. Long and elegant finish, the flavors stay with you while the weightlessness of the palate impresses!

This drinks more like a really good village or 1er as it should as Condemaine is a single parcel near Volnay. I also wanted to try this as it has 10% Chardonnay muscaté which no doubt adds to the complexity and intensity of the nose and palate.

Enjoyed this -- rich and in a pretty good place.
