Private Reserve Walter Clore Columbia Valley Red Blend

This is a very nice Bordeaux blend from Washington state.

Dark ruby in color.

Nice nose with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cloves, vanilla, oak and black pepper.

Dry on the palate, yet fruity with blackberries, cranberries, spices and vanilla.

Long finish with bold tannins.
Full bodied and balanced.

Very nice Cuvee blend of 68% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc.
Aged for 2 years in 100% new French oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark fruit old world dusty nose. Dry complex dark fruits with layers of tobacco? with a dry dry finish.

Nice blend and refreshingly to most WA has a bit more fruit forward. 2012 was quite good now but will easily carry 5+ more years.

Smooth & velvety. Big flavor.

Amazing!!! This was a wonderful bottle from start to finish. From the first glass the fruit was just explosive and hit all the right notes. By the last glass it had calmed down and became very smooth. When I open the next bottle I will definitely use my Wine Breather from the start.

Does food make the wine? Or does wine make the food? Paired with grilled tri tip steak , grilled lamb and some creative dipping sauces this Walter Clore really shined...
