A fairly simple Montalcino (but not Brunello di Montalcino ?). I find it very earthy with leather notes on the nose and tomato leaf on the pallete.
Simple, rustic wine that should be opened with a pasta dish.

Great value wine...4 stars! I like the IGT's. This comes from a small winery in Montalcino. Reportedly from young vines. Not as robust as a Brunello. Not as many tannins. Would classify as a nice table wine. As soon as if was opened displays slight fruity fragrance. Very nice. I don't think this is 100% Sangiovese......nice long legs on the glass....medium body. Nice wine.
