A fairly simple Montalcino (but not Brunello di Montalcino ?). I find it very earthy with leather notes on the nose and tomato leaf on the pallete.

Wow. A very soft, almost velvety finish. A great table, drinking a couple glasses wine.

Great value wine...4 stars! I like the IGT's. This comes from a small winery in Montalcino. Reportedly from young vines. Not as robust as a Brunello. Not as many tannins. Would classify as a nice table wine. As soon as if was opened displays slight fruity fragrance. Very nice. I don't think this is 100% Sangiovese......nice long legs on the glass....medium body. Nice wine.

@ Renzos , transformer blew out, switched homemade noquis with pesto, cherry tomatoes and burrata and grouper francaise for pizza!!!!!
