Beautiful, but reduced a bit and quite tight night one. Night two, pomegranate, tart cherry, roses, sandalwood, cedar, iron. Gonna be insane in a few years. With lots of air, amazing now.

This is a barrel sample taken in 2009. Bar top and still fresh. Mount Eden selection 37 at Coastlands, when they were 10 year old vines. Spice, cassis, sage, reminds me of epic old Mount Eden Hirsch Vines 1906 Block of Coastlands.

That bottle might have been juggled across the country a couple times. It didn’t drink like a 12.5% Cobb. The bright end wasn’t there. Cobb knows his trade. I enjoy the wines often. This bottle was an anomaly.
